The Role of the Imagination in the Religious Conversion of Adolescents

Fourteen Year 11 and 12 students from a number of Catholic schools around Perth, Western Australia, participated in a research project, which was designed to find evidence of the imagination being used in the religious experiences of adolescents. Using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) transcripts of interviews and journals were analysed and conclusions drawn about the use of the imagination in teenagers’ religious conversion experiences. The text may be accessed in the online research repository of the University of Notre Dame Australia..
